SUSANNA MOYER
Susanna Moyer is an entrepreneurial creative director, business executive and educator. She has managed multi million dollar brands, developed business strategies and elevated design team levels driving business results in the fashion industry.
Susanna is the Founder of Global Fashion Mentorship, a consultancy agency focusing on student development, branding, design and management for emerging designers. She also consults for Woxsen University and ArtsBridge.
Her experience in the fashion industry in both women’s and menswear has led her to work for a number of high profile brands including Christian Dior Paris, Liz Claiborne and Hickey Freeman. During 10 years Susanna designed, financed and oversaw all operations of her namesake collection selling to Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom and over 250 specialty stores.
Susanna is a Part-Time Assistant Professor at Parsons School of Design teaching in the BFA, AAS and MPS programs and Adjunct Professor at The Fashion Institute of Technology. She has created sustainable and ethical modules as a Visiting Professor at The American University in Paris, and has taught or lectured for LIM, Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU), FIDM, Hult International Business School, Parsons Paris, Woxsen University and Wenzhou University.
Susanna currently serves on the board as the Creative Director for CADA, (Council of Asian Designers of America) and Issachar Center for Entrepreneurial Studies.
Susanna received a BFA from Parsons School of Design and MPS at The Fashion Institute of Technology in the Global Fashion Management graduate program.
ISABELLA DAWN NOTARO
Isabella Dawn Notaro is an International Fashion & Lifestyle Brand Consultant and Educator. A design expert at media strategy, educational training and original content development. Isabella’s creative direction is focused on visual identity and niche fashion entrepreneurship. She navigates her students and clients through the complex stages of development, ranging from initial color, to branded content, their core identity, launch, social strategy and roll out to create impact across all channels.
As an adjunct fashion professor at Parsons School of Design in the Fashion Management Masters program and at the Fashion Institute of Technology in the Bachelors of Fine Arts focused on Fashion Design. Isabella is focused on giving back and discovering emerging talent and helping to shape their entry and impact on the market. Her decade of retail ownership in the brick and mortar space, as well as her partnership with a manufacturer to form an online modest clothing brand has enabled her to bridge the gap of online and in-store experiences. As a fashion stylist and creative director her photoshoots solidify her clients branding by universally establishing original content, website layouts, digital design, launching pop ups and producing fashion shows - both in person and virtual events.
Isabella’s design industry clientele include Estee Lauder, Smirnoff, Marie Claire, Billboard, Glamour, StyleNetwork, E! and Bravo TV. She has led and safeguarded both design and quality assurance for international exploratory campaigns, manufacturing and production. Isabella is adept at formulating strategies that engage consumers authentically with a mission-oriented approach. She incorporates her clients ideas, along with industry innovations, to establish a brand’s cohesive visual identity, value systems and market placement.
Isabella has a Masters of Global Fashion Management from Fashion Institute of Technology and Bachelors of Fine Arts from Fashion Institute of Technology included rigorous study abroad at Institut Français de la Mode in Paris, France and Hong Kong's Polytechnic University for her Masters and Polimoda in Florence, Italy for her Bachelors Degree.
Alex Helander is an entrepreneurial business executive, public speaker and educator. Over the course of his career he has led organizations in executive roles in the areas of Sustainability, Production and Manufacturing, Product Development and Sales.
His work in the fashion industry covers both menswear and women's clothing for public and private companies including Polo Ralph Lauren, The Limited and Sunrisebrands as well as his own private label manufacturing company. Most recently, Alex leads the first incubator for TerraCycle LLC, a global leader in sustainability. His consulting firm ACH LLC advises startups in the fashion and consumer product sectors.
As a part time professor at Parsons School of Design teaching in the MPS program and at The Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT), Alex teaches across a wide range of topics including, Entrepreneurship, Manufacturing, Production, Technology and Sustainable Fashion.
Alex currently serves on the board of Fashion Mingle.
ALEX HELANDER
JUSTYNA KEDRA
Justyna received her BFA degree from Parsons the New School where she successfully finished their toughest major: Fashion Design. Since then she worked in Public Relations with celebrities ranging from Jeremy Scott, Lady Gaga to Madonna at People's Revolution under the wing of Kelly Cutrone. Justyna is also no stranger to the corporate world working for 6 years in financial services at American Express generating over 20 Billion in acquisitions for Centurion, Platinum, Green Cards as well features such as their most successful “Employee Card” treatment. She also served as an advisor to the American Express’ President of US Consumer Services on topics related to the team’s culture.
She is a mentor & a team member at The New School's Impact Entrepreneurship Initiative and a mentor at the AARP Foundation x Bridge for Billions program for aspiring founders over 50. Because of her work, she was recognized as the youngest Champion of Change at the United Nations. A book she co-authored with Erika De La Cruz, Editor in Chief at The La Girl, has become a bestseller across multiple categories and is available at Barnes and Noble.
SOOJIN KANG
Soojin Kang is an Assistant professor of Fashion Technology at the Parsons School of Design, with a strong background in knitwear and proven expertise in computer knitting and virtual simulation technology using 3d modeling design software. Soojin’s whole garment knitting design, and she has experience delivering innovation and technology to the fashion industry and academic environments using Shima Seiki Computer Knitting Software and Clo3d. With an impressive track record that includes working with prestigious brands and numerous emerging designer labels in New York City, Soojin brings a wealth of practical knowledge and industry insights to her teaching and research. At Parsons, Soojin has taught fashion and textile design across a range of programs, including MFA, BFA, and AAS in Fashion and Textile programs.
Soojin’s research is focused on sustainability and fashion innovation through digital transformation, and her recent work explores hybrid design crossing the physical and digital worlds. With a passion for advancing the field of fashion and technology, she is committed to sharing her knowledge and expertise with students and industry peers alike, actively fostering a community that is inspired to push boundaries and create groundbreaking work.
